Hunter went pee pee on the potty for the first time tonight!!! Whooo hoo! We introduced it to him about a week ago. So every night when he is in the bath or when we are changing his diaper and it looks like he’s about to pee we bring him to the bathroom and have him stand on a stool in front of the toilet. Tonight when I was changing his diaper I told him….”ok it’s time to go pee pee on the potty” and on his own (with me behind him) he went to the bathroom, pulled the stool in front of the toilet, got up there and did it! Now, we just have to get him to the point where he will be able to tell us when he has to go. Good job Hunter!

With the arrival of Zoie, it is time to take some new family pictures.  Our friends Cody and Eloise are masters of the camera and took these awesome pictures.

Here are a few video clips from the first few days.

First we have Zoie just after she was born when she really started opening her eyes and looking around.

Hunter and Merinda came up to visit a little later on Zoie’s birthday.  Next we have a clip from when Hunter was first introduced to Zoie.

Well as you can see he wasn’t too concerned about her at first.  In his defense, it was pretty good jello right Amanda?   In any case, he did start to warm up to her as we’ll see later on.

Next we have a couple clips just after Zoie arrived home.  She was pretty tired and zonked out on the car ride home.  We transfered her to the bassinet and grabbed this little clip.

Later on she woke up and got to chill with me for a little bit.

Now back to Hunter and Zoie.  After a little bit Hunter started take care of his little sister.

I finally got some time to work out a couple videos for posting.  Now that I’ve got the process worked out things ought to work a bit smoother in the future.

The first video is the initial checkout video (just after birth).

WARNING: it’s a bit long so don’t feel compelled to watch it all (unless your a grandma, then you MUST watch it all )

This second video is just a quicky of our leaving the hospital and getting Zoie home.

Mom and Zoie were released from the hospital earlier today and we’re all happy to be back home.  Now that we’re back, we’ve got time to provide pics about all the happenings.

In anticipation of the birth I got a new digital camera about a week ago.  The old one was nearly 8 years old and long due for a refresh.  I took some practice pics (mostly of Hunter) to make sure I could work the it.  A selection for your enjoyment…

 

With all that practice I was ready to go when b-day came.  Here are some pics from pre-Zoie to getting everyone back home.

• 7 lbs
• 19 1/2 inches long

Mom and Daughter are doing great.  Here are some initial pics, more to come later…

 

Rather than playing the old e-mail game trying to keep people informed about what’s going on, we figured we’d give blogging a shot and see what it’s all about.

I’m not sure how much will actually be written, but if nothing else it’ll be a place to post pictures and videos of the little ones.  Enjoy!
